Workload Capacity

On This Page

Prior to Version 6.0, this feature was called Max Active Load.

The Workload Capacity feature provides a way to limit the number of active records a person can be assigned at any given time. This feature ensures you’re not assigning users more records than they have the capacity to handle.

Defining Active Record Statuses

Before you can use this feature, you’ll need to define what you consider to be an “active” record:

  1. Expand the Admin tab in the navigation menu and click Settings.
  2. Click the Object Settings tab.
  3. Select an Object.
  4. Select the field that defines a record’s status in the Status Field picklist.
  5. Select any values from the Active Status Values picklist that should be considered active.
  6. Click the Save button.
Define active status values in the workload settings.

Assigning Workload Capacity

Follow these steps to assign a workload capacity limit to one or more router members:

  1. Create a new router or edit an existing one.
  2. Scroll to the Router Members step.
  3. (Optional) Click Member Settings and set a Default Workload Capacity value for all members. You’ll be able to override this for individual members.
  4. (Optional) Click Member Settings and change the Workload Evaluation Method and Workload Evaluation Scope as needed.
  5. Update the Workload Capacity field for individual router members.
  6. Click the Save button.
Set workload capacity limits for router members.

Things to keep in mind

  • For load balance routers, this feature is found in the Workload Evaluation step.
  • For rule-based routers, this feature is found in the Member Settings section for each individual rule.
