Creating Skills

Available in Version 5.3 and up

Kubaru can be used to assign each record to the best user based on their skills. A Skill can be any attribute that you define, and may include languages, certifications, service tier, industry knowledge, and so on. For convenience, skills can be combined into Skill Groups. For example, you might create a skill group for Languages that includes skills for English, Spanish, French, and so on. 

Define Skill Groups

Follow these steps to define a new skill group:

1. Navigate to the Kubaru Skills tab of the Kubaru Console.
2. In the Manage Skill Groups subtab, click New Skill Group.
3. Give the skill group a Name.
4. Optionally, select an Icon for the skill group, or upload your own image file by selecting “+ Add New”.
5. Click Save.

Define Skills

Follow these steps to define a new skill:

1. Navigate to the Kubaru Skills tab of the Kubaru Console.
2. In the Manage Skills subtab, click New Skill.
3. Give the skill a Name.
4. Optionally, select a Skill Group.
5. Click Save & Next.
6. Add one or more Object Mappings. See Mapping Skills.
7. Add one or more Skill Assignments. See Assigning Skills.
8. Check Active to make the skill available for use.
9. Click Save.
