User Not Receiving Slack Notifications

If a particular Salesforce user is not receiving Slack notifications, it could be that Slack notifications are not enabled for that user. You can enable Slack notifications for the user by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Kubaru Members tab of the Kubaru Console.
  2. Click the View Details link to the left of the user.
  3. In the Notifications section, check Slack Notifications.
  4. Click Save.

If Slack notifications is enabled but there’s a red error icon displayed, this indicates that Kubaru was unable to find the user’s Slack account based on their email address. This may occur if a user uses a different email in Slack than they do in Salesforce. If so, you can resolve this by entering their Slack member ID in Kubaru:

  1. Sign into Slack.
  2. Click on the user’s name or picture in Slack to open their profile.
  3. Click the three dots under the user’s picture and select Copy member ID.
  4. Sign into Salesforce.
  5. Navigate to the Kubaru Members tab of the Kubaru Console
  6. Click the View Details link to the left of the user.
  7. In the Notifications section under Slack Notifications you will see a field for Slack User ID. Paste the value copied from Slack.
  8. Click Save.

If neither of these issues apply, please contact us at support@kubaru.io so we can further troubleshoot the issue.
