Some objects (e.g. Contacts) don’t support queues. For objects that don’t support queues, a user is selected in place of a queue. These users do not require a Kubaru license.
Routers assign records from Salesforce queues to users. You must connect at least one queue before a router can be activated.
Creating Salesforce Queues
Follow these steps to create a queue:
- Navigate to Setup.
- Search for “Queues” using the Quick Find box.
- Click New.
- Enter a Label (e.g. “Website Leads”) and Queue Name.
- Select an object (e.g. Leads) and click Add.
- Click Save.
See Salesforce’s article on creating queues for more information.
Connecting Queues to Routers
Follow these steps to connect one or more queues to your router:
- Navigate to your Kubaru Router.
- Scroll down the Connected Queues related list and click the Connect Queue button.
- Select a queue from the available list of queues. Or, click the New Queue link to create a queue.
- Click Save.
Not seeing your queue in the list? Make sure it meets the following requirements:
- It supports the object assigned by the router
- It is not already connected to the router
- It is not set as a router member
