How does Kubaru identify duplicate records?
Duplicate matching routers leverage standard Salesforce Duplicate Rules to identify duplicates, then assign the new duplicate record to the same owner as the existing matched record.
What Salesforce Duplicate Rule setting is required?
The Report checkbox for Actions On Create and/or Actions On Edit must be checked for duplicate matching routers to work correctly.
What happens if multiple duplicate records are found?
You select a tie breaker. Kubaru supports Match oldest record, Match newest record, Match last modified, and Match last activity where the object supports Last Activity Date.
Can Duplicate Matching compare leads to accounts or contacts?
Yes. When duplicate rules match records from one object to another, configure Cross-Object Mappings so Kubaru knows which user lookup field to reference on the matched object.
Does Duplicate Matching work with every Salesforce object?
Duplicate matching routers work for objects supported by Salesforce Duplicate Rules. Duplicate Rules support custom objects, but not every standard object; for example, Case and Opportunity are not supported.
