Compound annual growth rate (CAGR) is a measure of the average annual return on an investment over a specified period of time. It is calculated by dividing the final value of the investment by its initial value, and then raising it to the power of one divided by the number of years in the period. The result is then subtracted by one to get the CAGR as a percentage.
